Which of the following statements do you most agree with and why:
A.)It is the role of government to ensure the health and welfare of all citizens.
B.) It is the role of citizens, private organizations, and charities to ensure the health and welfare of all citizens.
I agree with A, because I feel that one of the governments jobs is to be responsible for the citizens and their health. They decide what goes in and out of the stores and through the meat packing plants. If they don't let us know what were consuming then lots of people can get sick.

I agree with B, mostly because, yes the government should make laws to support the citizens and workplaces, but it's up to the citizens to do their jobs and work and use the laws to make sure that everything is safe and healthy, and government doesn't need to do that for us because that's our contribution to the country and our role

I agree with A, because yes people should make sure they are making smart choices when making foods and their health, but unfortunately people don't always make good choices. Therefore the government should take charge and make sure that they take care of peoples health.

I agree with A because the government is elected to do that and it is their job to make sure it happens. They can do it themselves but they should provide opportunity for private organizations, charities and citizens to do it and have ownership in it.

I agree with statement A because the people trust the government with their money, wellbeing, and even lives. Therefore, the government should be fully responsible for it's citizens and their conditions, paying close attention to their needs for day to day life.

ReplyDeleteI agree with A. Some people can't afford good, healthy food. This is where the government should step in and help out the people. United States citizens elect people into our government because they believe these people can help them and make their lifes better.

I agree with B. People should be responsible for their own health and not make the government spend extra money. There are lots of organizations that help people get on their feet and find jobs so they can make money and take care of themselves

I agree with A because the government should be able to help people who aren't capable to care for themselves. people need help when it comes to health and the best people to do that that control our money is the government who can help everyone stay on there feet.

I agree with A because the government is supposed to be for the people. It wouldn't make sense if all the government did for the the people was sit back and watch them solve their own problems. -Nate S
