Monday: Presentations begin. We will have the students with topics that occurred early in the war go first.
Tuesday: Block Scheduling (Periods 1,3,5,7) will continue presenting.
Wednesday: Block Scheduling (Periods 2,4,5,6) will continue presenting.
Thursday: Read 15.2 and discuss The Home Front
Friday: The Home Front Video on rationing and war industry. The Home Front

Monday: Happy Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day (No School)
Tuesday: Read and Discuss Pearl Harbor. 14.3 WKST America Enters the War
Wednesday: Read 15.1. The U.S. Turns the Tide in the War in Europe
Thursday: Fill out 15.1 WKST covering important battles and fighting in Europe. The Allies Turn the Tide
Friday: Workday to finish the projects!

Infamy of December 1941

Here is a really good website with fun interactive maps and first-hand accounts of early December 1941. People often forget that Pearl Harbor was not the only place Japan attacked the US. Tuesday: All classes are in the computer lab.
Wednesday: Review 14.1. Read 14.2 and complete 14.2 WKST and timeline.
Thursday: Discuss 14.2 Notes and introduce 14.3
Friday: Short 14.1-14.1 Quiz. Finish 14.3

Tuesday: Finish 14.1 Collage Activity and discuss the rise of the dictators.
Wednesday: Continue learning about the rise of the dictators. 14.1 Notes
Thursday: Read 14.2 (443-450) and complete 14.2 WKST
Friday:Discuss 14.2. Explain WWII projects.

Semester 2: Week 1 (Jan. 2-3)

Welcome back and Happy New Year!

Thursday and Friday we will be working on a group in-class activity introducing the Dictators of the 1930's: Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, and Tojo! We will continue this activity on Monday the 6th as well.
